Fornaio del Casale, based in Casale sul Sile (TV), is a company specializing in the production and distribution of bakery products, snacks, and bread substitutes. It is a market leader in the segment of pre-packaged cakes and seasonal festive products (e.g., Carnival pastries)
Its products are distributed both in Italy and abroad under the “Gecchele” brand and, to a residual extent, through private label agreements. Fornaio del Casale is widely recognized for the high quality of its products, made with natural ingredients. The company’s portfolio includes traditional baked goods (e.g., cakes and ring-shaped pastries), niche products (e.g., Arabic bread), innovative seasonal specialties (e.g., Halloween pastries), and trend-based products (e.g., pistachio cake).
Through the ABC Food Club Deal, we invested approximately €6m in an investment vehicle holding about 77% of Fornaio del Casale. ABC owns approximately 29% of that vehicle, corresponding to an indirect stake of 22.6% in Fornaio del Casale. The remaining 71% is held by Riello Investment Partners SGR.
